The Story

Man, have I been waiting to share this one—and do I ever have a story for you. Ashley and Andrew’s wedding day at The Surf Hotel in Buena Vista was the kind of day that reminds you why you fell in love with storytelling in the first place.

From the very start, there was this bright, joyful energy that followed us around like sunlight. We kicked things off with getting ready and detail shots, surrounded by laughter and anticipation. Their first look was emotional and grounding, and right after, we rolled into wedding party and family portraits with the majestic Collegiate Peaks in the background (yep, I found us a spot with the perfect view).

Their ceremony in the courtyard was deeply personal, complete with a handfasting ritual, personal vows, and the kind of love that doesn’t need a microphone to be heard. Oh—and their dog absolutely stole the show in the best way possible.

Afterwards, we snuck away for some just-married portraits, which felt more like a mountain-side adventure than anything else. Then came the reception: live music, heartfelt toasts, a packed dance floor, and a cake cutting that felt more like a celebration than a tradition. They truly boogied the night away, and I got to be right there in the middle of it all, capturing every laugh, tear, and spontaneous dance move.

Ashley and Andrew’s wedding was romantic, fun, and full of intention—just like them. Scroll through their gallery and you’ll feel it too.

Kind Words

“Not only was Amiee immediately a friend from the get go, she also provided us the best photos EVER of the best day of our lives. She captured our story so perfectly. I look at these every single day and I still can’t get over each and every one of them.

On top of this, she also was SO helpful. She’d fix my train, my hair, she’d help me carry things around. She was a blessing in every single form on our big day. I wish we could repeat it, if only to have her capture these moments again. HIRE HER!!! You will not regret it!”
