She really took the time to get to know us as a couple prior to booking with her, and it was important to us that we worked with good people on our wedding that we could vibe with and support them in kind. We were really intentional about everyone we included on our wedding day from intimate guest list to vendor creatives and food. For my husband and I, good music and good food were our top priorities for our guests. Good photos were the top priority for ourselves. We really wanted someone to capture these precious memories in a meaningful way and that came through in Amiee's photography. We wanted as much as possible to keep to documentary style photos but we also included posed shots with family and friends for their own memory boxes.
Amiee made everyone feel comfortable too. As someone who tends not to love being photographed, this was also key for me. She has a playful nature and keeps things fun and light even where there may be chaos, unraveling plans, and big feelings.
She listened to my husband and I and what we knew for ourselves at the time was important to capture rather than others' inputs and stayed true to that vision.
When our wedding day came, we felt we needed more time to prepare as we had planned DIY but the time had come. There were moving parts that weren't in place and many things we hadn't thought through but Amiee knew what to do and filled in the gaps and helped pull the day together. It was magic. Dare I say, she handled it all with grace. We're so grateful she was a part of our day and that we have these beautiful photos forever. We'll treasure them.”
